Here are some things going on, which may interest you in the forthcoming year:

Ipswich Music Day, 5 July – The UK’s biggest free one-day music event, part of the Ipswich Arts Festival, attracts crowds in excess of 40,000 every year, promoting music for all tastes.

Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre – One of the biggest and best family Yuletide events in Britain, featuring Victorian costumes to dancing penguins, something for everyone.

Essex…

Chelmsford City Racecourse – 11 January saw Chelmsford’s premier horse racing venue re-launch after a six-year gap.  58 races are set for 2015 in front of a 3,000 capacity grandstand.

V Festival, 22 August – It’s the Hyland Park event’s 20th anniversary with the line-up scheduled to be announced in March.  Expect a heavyweight of collection of amazing artists.

Southend Airshow & Military Festival, 12-13 September – A welcome return to 2015 sees the popular event reborn, after being axed in 2013 due to lack of funding.  Expect 500,000+!

Norfolk…

Radio 1’s Big Weekend, 23-24 May – The radio station’s flagship event is coming to Earlham Park, Norwich, and thousands of fans are predicted to descend on the venue to take part.

Tour of Britain, 6-13 September – Returning to East Anglia for the first time since 2012, this high profile sporting event will see the Tour pass through Norfolk (stages to be announced).

Norfolk and Norwich Festival, 8-24 May – Perhaps the most innovative and inspirational arts festival in the UK will showcase a myriad of events and activities to a diverse audience.

This list is not exhaustive and it just goes to show what a great part of the world we live in.  Hopefully there will be something to whet your appetite – enjoy every moment.
